You would think these people could come up with something more original by now, right???
Oh, this one is even better....especially if you are anything like me and are finding that job hunting is becoming even more of a hassle with all the online bullshit these days.
ReplyDeleteI have been actively seeking employment now for over 4 months, and aside from all the staffing agencies, & online jobbing sites, like Career Builder, Monster, etc........there is a new scam (or maybe not so new) where someone claiming to be a "professional staffing recruiter" emails me about a job that's available in my area, and tells me all I have to do is complete their "registration" or "screening" process prior to being called for an interview. So, I excitedly answer all their questions, fill out their on-line app., and re-submit my resume for the millionth time, only to be directed to a site that ultimately requires my credit card or debit card info to process a "free" credit report that is REQUIRED to complete the screening process in order to set up an appointment for an interview.
Does this sound unusual to anyone else???? Why on earth should I have to provide ANY personal info or a credit report for that matter, to apply for a job? Not only that, but when I Googled the name of the company soliciting the initial e-mail, I found that THEY DON'T EXIST! Now, this might be difficult for some to comprehend, but I think the majority of us know when we're being JERKED!
Sadly, many don't know when they are being jerked.
